Hessian Crucible, a death metal group from Springfield Missouri, played it loud and strong at a packed Outland Ballroom Friday night for their new CD release show. If you get the awesome chance to see them live, you best prepare your face for melting because with only three band members, this group will rock you to your very core with a hot and heavy thrash sound!
Hessian Crucible is notoriously known for their excellent instrumentals, yet Dorsey’s full, deep and bestial vocals are everything you could want from a black metal vocalist. Dorsey’s skillful and fast-flying guitar playing lends a progressive sound as much as percussionist Sam Smith’s heavy rapid slamming and bassist Joe Smith’s skillful rhythms. 
The group carries a hint of old school metal, and fans of Metallica, Opeth, Slayer, Type O Negative and other similar thrash sounds will enjoy this band. They put on a good show and head-banging and moshing is to be expected at any one of their performances. You just may find yourself joining in! Highly recommended, Hessian Crucible is a deathly delight, guaranteed!
